DAS8JR BOARD MENU CONTROLS:

CHANNEL CONTROL:

Selects any channel from 0 to 7. The main trace title line will also reflect any changes made here.

EXTERNAL TRIGGER INPUT BIT:

This control lets you select one of the 8 digital input bits to be used as an external trigger. Only the standard "built-in" input port bits may be used here, not those from any added LPT or 8255 ports. Make sure that it is not the same bit as set for DDisk Remote or Averager Remote unless you are SURE you will not be using those options.

NOTE:
Daqarta always uses the word "trigger" to mean "start collecting a sweep of N samples". Board manufacturers sometimes use "trigger" to mean "start one ADC sample conversion", but the same manufacturer may alternate between these two meanings in different contexts. Be very wary of references to "external trigger" inputs in a manufacturer's literature: They usually mean "external pacer". (The DAS8JR family boards don't support external pacers.)

DDISK REMOTE CONTROL INPUT BIT:

Selects one of the 8 standard input bits for use as a remote control to start and stop DDisk recording. Make sure this bit is not the same one used for Averager Remote or External Trigger.

AVERAGER REMOTE CONTROL INPUT BIT:

Selects one of the 8 standard input bits for use as a remote control to start and stop the Averager. Make sure this bit is not the same one used for DDisk Remote or External Trigger.

TRIGGER PULSE OUTPUT BIT:

Selects one of the 8 standard output bits as the Trigger Pulse source. Only the "built-in" digital output port bits may be used here, not those from any added LPT or 8255 ports.

If you have used the P:I configuration parameter option, the standard output port will be dedicated to use by STIM3 or a similar Stimulus Generator, and will be unavailable for this Pulse option. This menu option will change from 'Pulse' to 'DigOut' and instead of a bit value will always show 'Stim'.

DAS8JR.ADC Revision History:

3-1-01 Added support for STIM3A Dynamic Mode, update for
            Daqarta v2.00.

7-17-98 Requires Daqarta version 1.11 or greater.

Bug Fix: Changes made to certain main Daqarta
(or STIM3) controls while Paused now take effect
            properly after unPause.

Cursor readout averages now reset automatically
when changing input or stimulus output settings.

 8-6-97 Original Release.

DAS8JR INDEX:

NOTE: The actual Daqarta DAS8JR index allows you to move through it by hitting the first letter of any entry. We apologize for this primitive Web substitue: You may scroll through it as usual, select a letter from the following line, or simply use your browser's "Find" function to search this page.
