If you purchase Daqarta you will be sent a small encrypted RegUser.ASK text file via Email. The simplest way to install this is to copy the whole file to the Windows clipboard as a file. Note that you can not just highlight the text and copy that to the clipboard; you must have a named file so that you can later paste it as a file.

If your Email program doesn't allow you to copy an attachment directly to the clipboard, just save it as a file in any convenient location. If you have Win9x you can then use Windows Explorer to copy the file to the clipboard. (With XP, or Win9x with IE5 or later, just saving the file anywhere is enough... see below.)

Now open Daqarta and click on the Install Daqarta License Key option in the File menu. A file Open dialog will appear with RegUser.ASK shown as the default file name, showing all the .ASK files in your Daqarta\App_Data directory; typically there will be none. If you have RegUser.ASK in the clipboard, paste it to this location and double-click on it. Daqarta will then read the text file and create a RegUser.KEY binary version in the App_Data directory, where it will be found the next time Daqarta starts up.

If you saved the file but did not copy to the clipboard, use the little down-arrow button to the right of the File name field to see the names of recently-saved files. (This button is only present on systems with IE5 or later.) Select RegUser.ASK from the list, and double-click on it.

This key file will enable all Daqarta features, and it will continue to work with all future Daqarta versions; you only need to pay once. Personal / Hobby licenses may be upgraded to Professional by paying the price difference (US $70.00).
