Opening Files In Other Directories

Controls: DD/Open

Data files are assumed to reside in Daqarta's own User_Data directory. To open a file in another directory, use the down arrow next to the Look In control at the top of the Open dialog to navigate to the desired location.

If you have already done this once, and want to open another file from the same directory, it is often easier to click on the down arrow next to the File Name control near the bottom of the Open dialog. When you do this, you will see a list of all of the files you have recently accessed, including directory paths if they are not in User_Data. You can then click on a file from the desired directory, and manually edit out the name while preserving the path. The main Open window will then list all files in that directory. You can restrict this to only certain file types by changing the Files of Type selector.
