Generator Attenuator Options

Macro: GenAtnOpt

This button opens the Attenuator Options dialog for setting Vol or dB control styles (if you have calibrated your system). It also allows manual calibration of output attenuators in case your sound card doesn't allow full-duplex operation, which is needed to use the Auto Calibration option.

Additionally, it allows an adjustable fade-up and fade-down when the Generator is toggled on or off.

Note: If your sound card uses a custom mixer that denies access to Daqarta, this button changes to Mixer Report. Clicking it will display an error code to be used in reporting the particular area of mixer conflict. Daqarta volume controls are disabled, and all changes must be made with the custom mixer.

The sound card device name is shown at the top of the dialog, along with the manufacturer ID number and the specific product ID number and version. This same information appears at the start of the Daqarta0.ATN file created by the calibration process. This file will subsequently be loaded each time you start Daqarta, and will be used only if the information matches the sound card in use. This is to prevent a wrong calibration from being used after a new sound card is added.

You may use a Daqarta0.ATN file that was created on another system, as long as this information is exactly the same. (See Managing Multiple Devices if you have more than one sound card on your system, you use a USB or other removable card, or you run Daqarta from a removable drive on multiple systems.)

Below the information header are the dialog controls:

Macro Notes:

If the main Generator dialog is open, GenAtnOpt=1 opens Attenuator Options dialog, GenAtnOpt=0 closes it, and GenAtnOpt=x toggles between open and closed.
