User Line Dialog

Controls: Calibration Menu >> User Units >> User Line
Macros: User0L, User0R, ...

This dialog appears when you click on a channel/line button in the User Units dialog. It allows you to specify a User calibration for that line, and to enable it to be activated by the main User Units (ALT+U) toggle.

There are two basic ways to define a User calibration for a line. The simplest is to manually set the Units/Volt factor and enter the Units name. This is for situations where the factor is constant. But many systems and transducers, such as microphones and speakers, have frequency-dependent responses. In such cases you may load a calibration file that specifies the frequency response, and Daqarta will correct for it in Y-log Spectrum mode. The file includes a baseline Units/Volt factor and Units name, which override those controls here. The file baseline factor is treated as a constant when Daqarta is not in Y-log Spectrum mode; no frequency response correction is applied.

If you make changes to any of the User Line dialogs, you will be prompted to save them in the Daqarta0.USR file when you exit Daqarta.

Macro Notes:

To open a User Line dialog, the User Units dialog must be open (use UnitsDlg=1). Then the following commands will open individual User Line dialogs. Note that no value is needed, and will be ignored if given.

Input Line dialogs are numbered 0-7 (your card may have less than that), and L or R for Left or Right. User0L= will open the top-most Left Input dialog, and User0R= will open the Right Input.

Cards with individual Input lines will have Master Input buttons disabled to prevent control conflicts. If enabled on your card, UserMstInL= and UserMstInR= will open the User Line dialogs. Some devices such as USB microphones may have Master In, but no other Input lines.

Cards with separate Master Output and Wave Output lines will have Master Output disabled to prevent conflicts. If enabled on your card, UserMstOutL= and UserMstOutR= will open the User Line dialogs.

UserWaveL= and UserWaveR= will open the Wave Output User Line dialogs.

If a file is loaded, there are only 4 specific line commands: LI.FileUnits=, RI.FileUnits=, LO.FileUnits=, and RO.FileUnits=. Alternatively, Ch.FileUnits= opens the channel previously set via the Ch Channel Select command.
