Help Topics - Using the Help System

Macro: Help

You can activate the Help system by clicking on the Help menu or hitting ALT+H, then selecting Help Topics.

You can get context Help by right-clicking on any control, or by hitting F1 if the control is already selected.

A toolbar pane is located below the Help window title bar.

On the left side of the Help window is the Navigation pane. It contains three navigational tabs: the Contents tab, the Index tab, and the Search tab.

On the right side of the window is the Topic pane. It displays the selected help topic, or the default help topic.

Many Help topics have a Controls: path at the top to show how to find that control within Daqarta. For example, the topic for the Total button of the Frequency Counter has:

Controls: Options Menu >> Frequency Counter >> Total

A Macro: line at the top shows the Macro keywords that operate the control. For the Total button, is is

Macro: FcountMode=Tot, Freq, Total

Many topics also have a Macro Notes: section after the main text.

Pitch-to-MIDI controls have a Changes: line at the top that shows the basic Changes script command, plus at Changes Script: section after the main text.
