Macro Run (F8 Hot-Key)

To run a macro, hit the F8 function key, then hit the desired Macro ID key. The Macro Dialog will appear as soon as you hit the F8 key, showing the list of Macro IDs, Names, and Descriptions. The word ' HOT' will appear next to the ID control as a reminder that you are in hot-key mode. The dialog will vanish as soon as you hit an ID key to run the corresponding macro. If you are not sure of the ID you want to use, you can refer to the list. If there are a lot of macros in the list, you may have to scroll it down to see the one you want.

This hot-key mode is intended for speed when you are familiar with the macros in the list. If you are just exploring, you may prefer to use CTRL+F8 to invoke the Macro Dialog. When invoked that way, the dialog stays visible even after the macro runs.
