Generator Toggle

Macro : Gen

This toolbar button activates sound card output operations. You may also use ALT+G.

In order for the Generator to be successfully toggled on, either Left or Right (or both) outputs must be selected in the Generator Control Dialog. Otherwise, that dialog will open and 'Select Left and/or Right Generator channel' will appear on the message line.

When Generator and Input are active at the same time, it is referred to as " full-duplex" operation. Most modern sound cards are capable of this. If yours is not, then toggling Generator on will force Input off and disable it, and vice versa.

Macro Notes:

Gen=1 turns the Generator on, Gen=0 turns it off, and Gen=x toggles between the two states.
