Spectrum Track Harmonic

Controls: Spectrum Dialog >> Track >> Harmonic
Macros: TrackHarm, TrackN

When Track is active and Fundamental mode is selected, the Harmonic button and adjacent harmonic number control become enabled.

When Harmonic is active, the dotted cursor is positioned at the location of the selected harmonic number for the current fundamental frequency. The background of the cursor position readout/control is tinted pink as a reminder that you will not be able to move the dotted cursor manually.

Note that the cursor will move to the position where the selected harmonic should be, even if that harmonic is not actually present in the signal.

If no fundamental is detected (such as if the signal peaks are below the Track Threshold or outside the Max/Min Frequency limits), the dotted cursor moves to 0, as does the solid.

When Spectrum Cursor Ratio is active along with Harmonic, the Delta X cursor readout shows the ratio of the frequencies, at the resolution of the Spectrum Peak detector. (An 'R:' is shown ahead of the ratio as a reminder.)

Macro Notes:

If Fundamental is active, TrackHarm=1 activates Harmonic mode, TrackHarm=0 turns it off, and TrackHarm=x toggles the current state.

TrackN=3 sets the harmonic number to 3. TrackN=>1 increments the harmonic number and TrackN=>-1 decrements it.

Note that if Fundamental is not active, these controls are disabled. Attempts to change them via macro will result in the macro being aborted with a message explaining the problem. Thus, it may be a good idea to precede either of these macros with a TrackFund=1 command.
