MIDI Changes Script Comments

Changes: ;comment text

You can add comments to MIDI Changes scripts by placing a semicolon (';') at the start of the comment. The remainder of the script line will be ignored.

Example:

    W=4 ;Wait 4 beats

You can also use a semicolon at the start of a line to disable the entire line, including commands. If want to disable multiple lines, rather than inserting semicolons at the start of each you can use an extended comment. This consists of a line starting with a semicolon followed by one or more '+' signs to start the comment, and a line starting with a semicolon followed by one or more minus signs to end the comment.

Example:

    W=4
    UA=?(0,10)
    ;+++++ Extended comment starts
    UB=UA*2
    I2=UB
    ;----- Extended comment ends
    I1=UA

You can quickly re-enable the commented lines by inserting a space after the starting semicolon. That converts the starting line into an ordinary single-line comment, so the following lines run normally. (You don't need to do anything with the ending line; it's a valid single-line comment as-is.)
